What is CCRx?
Barbara Koenen is the founder and executive director of CCRx. She previously worked for the City of Chicago, as Director of Artists Resources. She is committed to providing access to materials for artists and underfunded educators, while improving Chicago's system of sustainability.

Kathryn T. Fimreite is finance / development director and workshop instructor.
Jacquelyn Moore assists with inventory, warehouse coordination and education.
Liz Libby handles press and media relations.
Wyatt Carson oversees sales and musical enhancement.
Vonesha Packer is warehouse coordinator.
Monika Thomas runs our artisan studio and iis the Artistic Director for Envision Unlimited.
Roosevelt Burrell is our mover and moral compass.
We work with many members of Envision Unlmited, who help sort, test, teach and greet, among many valuable contributions.
Cheryl Hughes (President) is senior director of civic engagement at The Chicago Community Trust and the driving force behind partnerships with Chicago Ideas Week, the Chicago Humanities Festival, the Chicago Public Library’s “One Book One Chicago” and StoryCorps. She was executive director of Science Chicago at the Museum of Science and Industry; program manager for the Chicago Mayor’s Office of Special Events and executive director of Gallery 37, now After School Matters.
William Cosper (Treasurer) is Director of Resource & Program Development at Smart Love Family Services. He was Vice President for Institutional Relations at the Executive Service Corps and Donors Forum / Forefront, director of Development & communications at Strategic Learning Initiatives, and Manager of Corporate & Foundation Relations at The Joffrey Ballet.
Lauren M. Pacheco (Secretary) is Director of Arts Programming and Engagement at Indiana University Northwest and co-founding Director of Chicago Urban Art Society and the Chicago’s Low-Rider Festival and a former aide to Alderman Daniel Solis.
Kathryn T. Fimreite (Director) is an artist and educator with a background in marketing and client services for Ogilvy & Mather, DDB Needham and Marcoa DR Group. She has been CCRx grant writer since 2018.

Elizabeth Libby (Director) is Marketing Specialist at Blue Cross / Blue Shield Illinois. Prior she was marketing for Lake Forest College.
Carolyn Ottmers (Director) is an artist and educator who founded and directed the foundry of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for 25 years.
Timothy Samuelson (Director) is the Cultural Historian for the City of Chicago.
Julia Talbot (Director) is Senior Policy Analyst for the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services.
The Creative Chicago Reuse Exchange (CCRx) is a 501c3 nonprofit that solicits donations of surplus materials, equipment and supplies for teachers and non-profit organizations. We promote creativity and environmental stewardship. Our goal is to educate and empower the public to reduce waste, rethink surplus, and share. We do this through creative reuse programming, events and workshops. Our belief is that "trash is just a failure of imagination."
Volunteers are the engine that fuels CCRx.
During events and providing regular support in the office, on social media, working with teachers, artists and donors, our volunteers are an integral component of CCRx's success. Join us!
