About The Event

In CCRx's Teacher-Materials Survey, so many teachers say they dream of "flexible seating" for their classrooms.

We want to learn more and see how to help out. So, we are inviting Chicago teachers to this Flexible Seating Brainstorm on Saturday, Feb 16 from 10a - 12p at the Envision Frick Center.

We will discuss what they mean by "flexible seating," and offer some possibilities that maybe can be fabricated with other textile artists or groups, or that they can make with students in their own classroom. Refreshments will be served.

Then, on March 16 we will host a Sewing Summit -- an open call to textile artists, sewers, knitters, crocheters, quilters, dyers, weavers and woodworkers. The idea is a brief show and tell of projects currently underway, "haves and needs" and an invitation from us to collaborate on flexible seating for Chicago teachers.

Pass the word.
