About The Event

Chicago teachers -- join us for this new monthly gathering at the CTU Center.    Learn a new craft that you can use for yourself, or in the classroom. while you spend time with colleagues.   Craft + Gab has no CDPUs, just a glass of wine and some quality "me time" along with a fun takeaway inspired by creative reuse.

A blank book holds so much potential - for diagrams or a diary, for poems, plans, mementos and manifestos!      You do not need to be an artist to participate -- anyone can learn this fun and useful skill!

Artist Regin Igloria will help you make a book out of anything that can be bound - VHS boxes, library cards, coffee bags, election signs, tea boxes – and how to build community in the process.    Igloria is the founder of North Branch Projects and has been presenting Community Binding throughout Chicago for many years.

$20 covers materials and refreshments, including beer/wine and light snacks.
