About The Event
Learn more about the vibrant and abstract world of Bisa Butler's art while exploring your own self image! In Pieced Together, participants will use color theory, photos and fabric scraps to bring their story to life.
Amme Nowlin has helped Chicago Public School students get creative for over 10 years now as an arts educator. With a lifelong interest in art, Amme has always created art in some capacity. Recently, she has restarted making art for herself and says it has brought her joy and much needed stimulation.
Participants are encouraged to bring a photo copied image of yourself from the waist up (preferably in Black & White). If you are not able to, that is okay as you can draw your own person or figure to use in the project!
