Your Holiday Trees can be dropped at these Chicago parks for mulching until Jan 20. Don't toss them - Mulch 'em! Info here
We are relieved that the City of Chicago finally launched its first-ever citywide Food Scrap Drop-Off Program, and Chicago residents can drop off their household food scraps for composting at one of 15 locations. The best part -- they will take meat, dairy, cooked foods, bread & grains! All the stuff you can't compost at home. So you now have a way to dispose of all your food waste so it can be returned to fertilize the soil -- and not produce greenhouse gases in the landfill. Read about it here.
