Reuse Keeps the Southside Rolling... and Skating!

At Creative Chicago Reuse Exchange, we know reuse is not only a integral part of the arts, but also sports and recreation!

Over the last few months, one of our reuse specialists, Daya Stanley, has traveled across the Southside of Chicago collecting unwanted skate equipment to repair and give away free of charge to Southsiders. 

Daya would like to invite the CCRx community to join her at Hamilton Park October 17th, 7-11 pm for a Skate giveaway at Think Outside Da Block's Skate N' Peace. Attendees will have the chance to not only take home one of thirteen pairs of skates being given away, but also enjoy a fun night of skating with FREE rental skates provided by Think Outside Da Block and Chicago Park District. 

CCRx has supported Daya's work by donating four skateboards that were given away at her last skate giveaway at Overton Exchange 's August Community Day. That giveaway provided eleven community members with skate equipment and Overton Exchange with two pairs of skates for rental collection.
